Minimum memory needed in your cell phone
We highly recommend a minimum memory of 128 megabytes of memory in your cell phone, but preferably, if your cell phone supports external memory, such as the Micro SD card or Duo Pro memory stick, 256 megabytes or more of memory would be ideal.
Can my cell phone or PDA read the 3GP video format?
Thats a good question. Not all cell phones can view this format, especially old ones can't, but a majority of newer cell phones can. You will have to consult your product manual. If your cell phone has a color LCD screen and plays mp3 music, then there's a very good chance it will also play 3GP videos. As for Windows Mobile Based Devices (PDAs) You can download DirectShow filters from the Internet that will allow you to play ringtone files in the Player. Keep in mind, however, that some filters may introduce instability with programs or your computer in general. Make sure that the filters are from a trustworthy software provider before downloading them.
Transfering the video to your cell phone
There are couple ways to transfer the downloaded video to your cell phone. The first method is to use Bluetooth. If your computer or notebook comes with bluetooth technology or you have purchased a Wireless Bluetooh USB 2.0 adapter (dongle), you can easily send the file to your cell phone. Most cell phones manufactured after 2005 come with Bluetooth technology. If you are not sure, consult your cell phone owner's manual. As there are hundreds of cell phone models out there, we cannot provide instructions on every single one of them.
The second method is to transfer the file via USB wire to your cell phone. Most cell phones comes with a USB adapter or can be purchased optionally for your cell phone. You can directly connect your cell phone to your computer. This is the easiest way to transfer files.
The third method is to use infrared. If your phone supports infrared and if your computer comes equipped with a USB infrared adapter, you can use that to send the file to your cell phone.
If your cell phone uses Micro SD card or Duo Pro memory stick for external memory and if you have a card reader in your computer, simply copy the files over to your Micro SD card and you're all set.
If you are completely unsure if your computer or cell phone has these technologies, consult our owners manual.
